Phone Number: Collected when you enable SMS two-factor authentication.
Usage Data: IP addresses, device type, and interaction logs for security and fraud prevention.
Account Data: Email, name, and any information you provide when creating an account on our platforms.

3. How We Use Your Phone Number

Your phone number is used exclusively to:

Deliver one-time passcodes (OTPs) for account authentication.
Send security alerts (e.g., new login from unrecognized device) when enabled.

We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number with third-party marketers. It is never used for promotional SMS campaigns.

4. SMS Messaging Provider

SMS messages are delivered through Twilio Inc., our third-party messaging provider. Your phone number is shared with Twilio solely for message delivery. Twilio's privacy policy is available at twilio.com/legal/privacy.

5. Opting Out

Reply STOP to any SMS to opt out. You may also disable SMS 2FA from your account settings at any time. After opt-out, we will not send further SMS messages unless you re-enroll.

6. Data Retention

Phone numbers are retained while your account is active and for up to 90 days after account deletion for fraud prevention purposes, then permanently deleted.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest) and access controls to protect your data. No system is 100% secure; we encourage you to use a strong password and enable 2FA.

8. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Email privacy@hotdeck.com to exercise these rights.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice.
